What a London AI consultancy is actually for
Most organisations that call us do not need a model. They need a decision about whether a model is the right answer, made by someone who does not earn more if the answer is yes. That is the core of the work: separating the problems where machine learning compounds a real advantage from the ones where a cleaner data pipeline, a better rule, or a bought product would do the job for a tenth of the money.
The second thing a consultancy is for is arriving after something has gone wrong. A pilot that scored beautifully and failed in production, a vendor model nobody can explain to an auditor, a forecast the planners quietly stopped using. These reviews are unglamorous and frequently the highest-value week a client buys from us.
